RATTAN

 

Rattan: is made from a plant that belongs to the palm family. Found from sea level up to 3,000mt, more than 600 species of these fast growing eco-friendly plants grow in the tropical regions of Australia, Asia and Africa, as a material it is strong, flexible and very durable. It became a very popular and loved in the furniture industry thanks to its characteristics and to the fact that is a sustainable material.

Evoking the essence of the tropics, it is the perfect, sustainable material to add a warm and natural feel to your home.  

 

 RAFFIA


Raffia is a natural straw-like material obtained by peeling raffia palm leaves. The palm, originally from Madagascar nowadays can be found in many tropical countries.

Raffia fibres are soft, pliable, strong and durable, easy to dye and biodegradable making it an excellent material for weaving baskets, hats, mats and rugs and many other wall décor products.

It is one of the most iconic material in the boho style trend, easy to recognise and easy to love.

 

SEAGRASS

Seagrass grows in the coastal waters of Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines.

It is a fibrous, durable water hyacinth commonly used by artisans and brands that are looking for eco-friendly, biodegradable and sustainable materials. It is shaped into many items for interior design such as baskets, lampshades, wall décor and furniture details.

 

JUTE

 

Jute is a  long, soft and shiny fibre that is extracted from the bark of the jute vegetable plant and one of the strongest natural fibres in the world. Used for making textiles since the 3rd millennium BC. It is the second most produced natural fibre after cotton.

Jute has plenty of utilisations and it is often used for many products such as pillow covers, rugs, bags, wall décor and furniture.


TEAK

 

Teak wood is obtained from the tree species Tectona grandis, native of Indonesia. Teak is a rich golden-brown coloured wood and it is one of the hardest and most resistant types of woods available.

Is widely used as boat-building material due to its resistance. Thanks to its elegance and refinement it finds application in homes furniture. Perfect for indoor or outdoor furniture it is also used for plates, bowls and home décor.

The teak wood with its colour and veins is able to give to the interiors a tropical warm feeling.
